Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device, 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a blue disc bearing a stylized "W" with three gold stars between the ascenders of the letter at top, all enclosed on the sides and bottom by a green laurel wreath. Overall a gold eagle with wings displayed perched on a red scroll inscribed "AND DEFEND FREEDOM" in gold letters, arched over top between the wreath ends a red scroll inscribed "SUPPORT" in gold letters.

Symbolism
Buff/gold and scarlet are the colors traditionally used by Support units. The laurel wreath and eagle are adapted from the Quartermaster Regimental insignia and recall the unit's heritage. The eagle symbolizes strength and vigilance and the laurel is for honor and excellence. The blue disc with the rolling "W" alludes to the unit's higher headquarters. The three stars represent the branches of the original subordinate units.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 20 February 2002.
